Time flies. You make resolutions for a new year, next thing you know you’re enjoying the Summer sun and holiday shopping again. Ideally as the years roll by, there are moments that stand out, punctuating your life with happiness, exhilaration, laughter and love. Some are planned, many are not. As someone who loves to day dream, I imagine grand adventures for the future quite often. Dreaming up experiences to add to my bucket list is just as fun as reminiscing on epic moments from past travels.
Cooking Class in Italy
I ate my weight in amazing food on my first trip to Italy. On my next trip, I can’t wait to learn more about the region’s food, ideally from an Italian grandma. I don’t care what country you’re in- grandmas hold the key to the best food.
Make Perfume in Paris
Creating my very own signature scent seems like the coolest thing to do- doing it in Paris takes the experience to a whole new level. I love unique, creative activities- this one seems to be equal parts fun and fancy.
Yoga Retreat
I’m not sure where I want to retreat yet- there are countless options from Bali or Tulum to the Caribbean or California. My ideal retreat will include spa treatments and meals prepared by a chef. Doesn’t that sound like heaven? I may need more than one retreat to find my zen… namaste.
Visit The Pyramids
There are places in the world that are awe inspiring, even in pictures. I imagine The Pyramids are on many of your bucket lists too. Wandering through tombs full of history and hieroglyphics, looking up at towering structures built centuries earlier by an amazing civilization- yes, please!
Ride in a Hot Air Balloon
I’m not sure when I decided that I needed to ride in a hot air balloon, but something about that huge, colorful balloon high in the sky feels like my kind of adventure. I’m equal parts scared and excited- which seems like the perfect balance for my bucket list! Where this magical balloon ride will happen, I don’t know. I was thinking Turkey… until I learned that Albuquerque is actually the hot air balloon capital of the world!? Who knew?? Sounds like I need to take a trip to New Mexico.
Take Dance in Cuba
I grew up in dance classes. From the San Francisco Ballet in my black leotard and gymnastics routines; to my favorite Afro Brazilian classes I discovered as an adult- dance is one of my favorite creative expressions. I also have a great affinity for Cuban music. What better way to learn about and celebrate Cuban culture than to take a dance class?
So what experiences are on your bucket list??
