Brown Lady Bookshelf: Essential Summer Reads

I have always loved books. As a kid, I borrowed as many library books as I could carry, often hiding under the covers long past bedtime, trying to finish just one more chapter.  Summer always brought longer days, more time to play outside, no homework- and more time for books. While I don’t have as much time to read now, when I do sit down with a book, I’ll read it cover to cover.

As much as I love to travel, I don’t particularly enjoy flying.  The one benefit to being in a confined space with nowhere to go for a few hours- I can get some good reading in. Whether I’m on a plane, or at the beach, give me some quiet time and I’ll get immersed in a story, time or place, far far away. Yes, this brown lady is still a bookworm.
